We access your device's precise location (GPS coordinates — latitude and longitude) to:
- Provide accurate weather information for your current location
- Send relevant weather alerts and prayer time notifications for your area
- Alert you when lightning is detected near your location
- Display location-specific forecasts, air quality data, and METAR aviation weather
- Show your position on interactive weather maps (Windy)
- Provide real-time travel weather along motorway routes
Important: Location data is only accessed when you explicitly grant permission through the Android system permission dialog. Your location is used solely for providing weather and prayer time services. We do not store, track, or share your location history with any third parties. Location coordinates are sent only to weather data providers (Open-Meteo, CheckWX, Windy) to retrieve weather information for your area, and to our lightning-alert service (hosted on Cloudflare) to notify you when lightning is detected near you. These are used solely to operate the app and are not sold or shared with third parties for advertising.
Device Information
We may collect:
- Device type and operating system version
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token for push notifications
- App usage statistics to improve our services
User Preferences
- Favorite locations you save within the app
- Notification preferences
- Display settings
